Do Now 12/14

If I was given an invisible cloak for a day I would do many good deeds anonymously. Apart from pulling pranks on a few of my friends, doing something good to the community will hopefully be helpful to society. I would go around placing snacks and other foods on plates for the homeless people or stray animals. Feeding the poor is something I don't feel comfortable doing if they're watching me. The invisibility cloak would help with that struggle. I could also slide small positive notes inside lockers. A small compliment could make someone's day.

With the power to be invisible, I would help pick up garbage in the town. A clean place to live in is a better place to live in. Of course, if I'm invisible, babysitting would be a bit odd. Imagine randomly seeing a baby floating in mid air. Instead, I would help make dinner, maybe even set the table and do other chores for my household. My mother would definitely be happy about that. When the day is over and the invisibility cloak will be gone, I can proudly look back on my good deeds that I have done today. Hopefully I helped our community in a way.

Do Now 12/7

If I were to add a class it would be a class for future actors and actresses. Unlike the drama club it will not be held after school and there will be no large school production. This class will be held in a 45 minute period during the school day. Students are able to pick if they would like to join this class, just like all their other extra curriculum classes. The classroom will always be filled with light and ideas. Future Broadway and TV stars will be born. If you enjoy acting then this classroom will most likely feel like the place you belong in.
Students would learn about old and new play writers and their favorite actors/actresses. They will learn the knowledge of the first old movies and famous old actors. We would create our own skits and plays and perform them in front of our class. We would also create our own short films, any genre. Class trips would consist of movie theaters and Broadway plays.

    Do Now 11/30

The first person I am thankful for is my mother. She works five days a week for us and does her best to please us. She pays for almost everything and is an amazing mother. My mother raised us well and is smart of the decisions she makes. I truly look up to her. Without her I will not be the person I am today.

I am also thankful for my grandmother. She cooks for us every single day. If you think my brother, sister and I are a handful, my grandma watches over three other younger ones. She cleans around the house, drives us everywhere, and pays for the groceries. We would be lost without her.

I'm very thankful for my best friend. She's by my side within a second when I need her. We laugh together and cry together. Our list of inside jokes can go on forever and ever. She is one of my favorite people. I have her back and she has mine. I wouldn't trade her for the world.

    Do Now 11/9

Over our short four day break I sat at home and watched movies and shows on Netflix. I finished up season one of The Vampire Diaries. Alongside of my lazy day, I was babysitting my younger cousins. Those were what took up my Thursday and Friday. Babysitting and Netflix.

On Saturday I went to watch the last home football game. They lost the last five seconds by one point, unfortunately. That night, my friend Bella and I went to watch Paranormal Activity. In my opinion the movie was terrible. It wasn't scary at all. It consisted of jump scares and a creepy black figure. My Sunday was filled with little children dressed as knights and princesses. My family and I went to Medieval Times in Lyndhurst to celebrate my little cousin's fifth birthday. The show was lovely, the food was great and the knight gave me and my sister flowers.

    Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

As a freshman this year, I'm taking Biology with Ms. Larson. It's supposedly like seventh grade science, but I still expect to learn more. I expect to participate in class discussions and lab projects. I will also complete all assignments on time, I'm setting goals for myself.  Science to me has always been easy and I believe this year will go smoothly in this class. So far we really just went over what we will be doing throughout the year, what chapters and topics. We are starting off with the steps to the Scientific Method. We were assigned to make a comic strip representing the steps as our first project.
Ms. Larson, to me, is an easy teacher. Her major assessments are 80 percent, our class participation is 10 as well as class preparation. Students must be responsible in her class and address/follow the rules This year I'm quite excited to be doing some projects and labs hopefully. We will be going over lab safety soon.
Technology and science both go well together. We of course use our laptops at times, but we mostly learn by textbook and projects. We also use our online textbook in case we have work at home or are missing pages in the old book.. Seventh Grade Life Science relates to Biology, but this class is a bit more challenging. There are lots more to learn.

    Introduction to Biology :

You can take a look at Ms. Larson's Science Page
We also use our online textbook, which you can find here.
